Glyph

Reading through the glyph key for drawing a self portrait of a leader felt like a foreign language at first. Even though the image on the left was drawn a little over a year ago, I could hardly remember doing it. It honestly did not change as much as I thought it might considering I don't recall the choices I made the first time I drew it. In the image on the right, the most recent one, I added a hat signaling that the way I approach leadership has changed since I started OT school. One of the main things that changed are my thoughts on whether seeing yourself as a leader is necessary for being a leader. Initially, I thought this to be true but now I realize that one can lead others without realizing it. I think that one of the best qualities a leader can have is leading by example and having your actions match up with your words, which further leads me to believe that you can have people looking up to you without even realizing it. Something else that changed is my personal goals regarding leadership roles, which was there in the beginning. This definitely makes me think that it is time to set some personal goals to be the best leader I can in anticipation of upcoming level II fieldworks.
